Travelling visitor-participation installation focused on neurodiverse creative engagement and innovation. Sixteen large-scale digital prints from wild, expressive neurodivergent paintings, drawings and writings – with art materials, noise reduction and spaces for visitors to reflect, draw, dream, protest, tell their stories – and comment on and be part of the show.

Our Emotions Are Real showed at Art Bank throughout March 2024, and at London’s international Marxism Festival 2024, as an accessible quiet space in conjunction with a panel discussion on Capitalism and Neurodiversity, which Nicola helped to organise.
For the shows, workers at the venues and festival visitors found sanctuary and inspiration to make placards, take photos, make art, and express ideas. See publicity posters below.
