OUR EMOTIONS ARE REAL

A nomadic, neuroqueer, participatory art project, offering sanctuary, inspiration, inclusion and experimentation.

  • Pop-up exhibition
  • Participation & activism
  • Cosplay, connections, community
  • Time for reflection
  • Creative open space & workshops

Nicola Field’s wild, expressive paintings and writings are displayed in a quiet, accessible, comfortable space. Tables, chairs, art materials and activity ideas offer visitors time to reflect, draw, dream, protest, tell stories – and be part of the show. Each installation is unique, adapting to the community and environment that invites this settlement, whether that be a festival, conference, gallery, community venue, museum….

Installations to date:

  • Art Bank, for International Women’s Day & LGBTQ History Month 2024
  • Marxism Festival, London 2024
  • Art as Refuge conference, New Art Gallery Wallsall 2025
  • Wellcome Collection and London Arts & Health 2025
  • Sands End Arts & Community Centre, London, Autumn 2025
